It's OK. I liked the fact that the guy in the story wasn't an ass.
But then I kept thinking what about the son. It doesn't make any sense that a woman who wants her son to be proud of her allows herself to become a wife of a man in an open relationship. Maybe her need to belong overpowers her need to be a real mother to her son. Over thinking I know but that was bothersome question and got in the way of enjoying the story. Good idea to fix the story then, yes?

First of all, how would her son know, and secondly, why would he be less proud of her, anyway? What's shameful about an open relationship? I am in one with a great woman, named Dora, who uses the username "Amasterfound". There is nothing wrong with it.
