Dementia : Part 1

(Part 1 from 2)

Chapter 1: the new girl

I was on the bus watching the houses whip by. It was the as any other day at high school. My mind was other places. Thinking about music, fame, and boys just like most girls in their sophomore year of high school think about. The bus slowed and I snapped out of my dazed reverie and looked up. The bus turned onto a different street. There must be a new student I thought and went back to gazing out the window.

The bus stopped outside a small dark house. I looked up to see the new girl getting on the bus. Instantly I found myself curious. I was always curious about people who dressed oddly. She was wearing tight fitting black pants with patches sowed all over them a tight black shirt with a black leather corset over it. The weirdest thing was that she was wearing a cloak. It was long and almost brushed the ground. It appeared to be made out of velvet and the dark purple inside was the only color I could see on her. She had the hood up and her head down.

Oddly enough, despite there being many empty places on the bus she sat down in the seat next to mine and sat sideways in her seat. Her back resting against the side of the bus. I watched as she hunched down and pulled a CD player seemingly out of nowhere. She put the headphones on and turned it up. I could hear it and shuddered a bit, heavy metal. I sighed and stared very hard out the window. Trying to ignore the weird girl.

I looked over at one point and she was staring at me. Almost as soon as I looked at her she looked down. Staring at the floor of the bus. I turned away; she was weirder than any of the kids at school. I smiled a bit, thinking about one of the guys who purposely tried to be weird. He would have competition now.

I noticed that I was staring at her reflection in the window. She was looking at me with an almost hungry look. Don’t count on it, girl I thought at her. She looked down at the floor with a smile on her face. I had the oddest feeling she had heard that thought.

Chapter 2: I’m falling for her

After school I was already on the bus and she was nowhere to be seen. Odd, I thought to myself she’ll miss the bus. But as the bus started to pull out, the engine stuttered and died. This didn’t make any sense it was a brand new bus, barely a year old. I watched as the bus driver cursed and kept trying to start the bus.

Suddenly there she was, she tapped lightly on the door and the bus driver let her in. she walked back and sat down again in the seat across from me. She had a small mischievous smile on her face. As soon as she had sat down the bus had started up again and the quite disgruntled bus driver was driving on his route. I looked at her with a suspicious look. She shrugged and pulled out her CD player again.
She got off downtown outside a small dusty shop. This shop I recognized, it was the weirdest shop in town and there were rumors that it was owned by a bunch of witches. I shuddered and watched as she walked over to the shop. It never opened until dark. I saw her just open the door which was odd. The owners are very paranoid, that place was locked up almost as tight as the city bank.
Every day she was picked up at the house, and every day dropped of at the store. Every day she somehow managed to sit across from me. It was odd but I felt myself starting to be attracted to her. Thinking it was just because she was so rebellious and wasn’t anything more I ignored it.

One night I woke up, sweating and trying to drive away the wet dream. I had never even thought about another woman that way until now. I was developing a secret crush on her. It scared me; I was straight and liked guys not other girls. But I knew it was no use.

I was beginning to grow attracted to her like I would to a cute boy. When I was masturbating I’d catch my thought wandering away from the cute guy I was visualizing and to her. It scared me half to death. I was actually getting off thinking about another woman. I could imagine how it would feel having her body pressed up against mine. Her lips on mine. Her tongue in my pussy.
I realized I was rubbing my pussy through my jeans, I was still on the bus. She’s looking at me with a raised eyebrow. But something in her gaze that was inviting and I could tell that she hadn’t wanted me to stop. This made me even more afraid.

Chapter 3: the shop

It was Saturday and I was walking along downtown and passed the shop. I wouldn’t have stopped except for the fact that I saw her sitting behind the counter. I also noticed she was polishing a wicked looking knife.

I started to keep walking, but damn my curiosity. But as they say curiosity kills the cat. I took a deep breath and walked into the shop. She looked up and I saw her eyes widen slightly with surprise. I nodded to her and looked around the shop.

It was dark and dingy. It smelled like old books and perfume. I looked around at the assortments of old books and unlabeled bottles, seemingly random bits of junk inside glass cases. I could barely read any of the writing and I saw a big book on a silk pillow. I reached for it but suddenly she was there. She had grabbed my hand. I looked at her, a bit aroused by her closeness.

"Don’t touch it with your bare hands, the oil in your fingers will damage the parchment." She said in a faint almost wispy voice. I looked at her stunned. This was the first time I had ever heard her speak. I remembered the first time I saw her speak to someone. One of the guys had been trying to hit on her. She had ignored him, but that didn’t discourage him. Finally she’d whispered something in his ear and he had gone very pale. He wouldn’t speak about it and flinched whenever a girl talked to him.

I noticed that she was still holding my hand. Not tightly but gently, I looked at her for a second. Suddenly she noticed and blushed bright red, letting go of my hand quickly. I tried to fight the urge to hold her hand again. I watched her hurry into the back room, trying to hide the fact that she had blushed. My head was spinning and I jumped when someone tapped me on the shoulder.
"Can I help you dear?" said the small woman, who was smiling and wearing an only a black dress. She had nothing else on that I could see, except a ring. I shook my head. I found myself staring back at the curtain, which she had gone through.

"Ah, your fighting a losing battle there dear" she said. I looked at her confused. "A lot of people have fallen for my daughter but you’re the first girl. Eve just doesn’t show any interest when it comes to love." said the old woman. I felt myself go red in the face, and I started casting around for some excuse or other explanation for my actions. Was I that obvious.

"Its nothing to be ashamed off dear. She’s a beautiful woman. You know you may just have a chance," she said giving me a little wink. I said my good byes and almost ran out of the shop. I could still hear eve’s mom laughing silently to herself. Once I got outside I looked around it was already about four in the afternoon. I couldn’t have been in there more than five minutes yet somehow about three hours had passed.

I looked back at the shop and saw her looking out of one of the windows on the second floor. When she saw that she had been seen she dove back out of sight. I shuddered and walked away from the store.

I decided to go see a movie. I sat in the back of the theater. Watching as people started walking into the theater. I saw eve walk in and sit down, looking relieved. She apparently hadn’t seen me. I watched her as she sat there and watched the previews. Suddenly she turned in her seat and stared me right in the eyes. I froze feeling myself going red. Her reaction mirrored mine as she turned back in her seat and huddled down, almost as though she was afraid that I would try and talk to her.

Every once in a while she would glance back at me when she thought I wasn’t going to notice me. I don’t know what made me do it, but maybe it was the sappy love scene but I moved down to sit next to her. She flinched and looked at me nervously. She looked like she felt exactly like I did. Afraid of what was about to happen.

Part of me wanted to leave to get away, but the rest of me quickly silenced that part. I almost didn’t realize it but we had both relaxed a bit and during the sex scene I felt her shift uncomfortably. I glanced up to see her glance at me and look away. Obviously embarrassed about it.

I didn’t know what made me do it but I reached out and took her hand in mine. She looked up at me her eyes wide with shock. I watched her turn six shades of red and I squeezed her hand moving closer to her. She glanced around at the nearly deserted Movie Theater. There was an old lady in the front row who appeared to be asleep and a young couple to absorbed to notice.

I felt her hand shaking a bit and she tried to avoid staring at me. I couldn’t resist it. I reached out and turned her head towards mine. She looked into my eyes and I leaned forward I saw her eyes widen ever further as she saw my intent. I saw her lips part as mine did. My face was barely an inch from hers. Just as our lips touched there was a loud bang and scream.

We both jumped and looked around. I nearly died when I realized what I had been about to do. We could hear screams coming from out in the hall and more bangs. It sounded like gunfire. I looked around everyone else had already left through the emergency exit. She pulled me down onto the floor and told me to stay there. I watched her take off her cloak, something I had never seen her do. She folded it quickly and handed it to me.
