I was sitting in the common room of a guesthouse in Bangkok, on Khao San Road. I was sitting on a couch watching American Pie on TV (it was the scene where the hot exchange student is undressing in the guy's bedroom and his friends are watching over the internet. "It's a Thai movie. Don't worry, you won't have many speaking lines. The director will tell you more." He handed me a card with an address. "Go to this address at 10:00 tomorrow morning. Just wear regular American clothes. We'll pay you $50 just to try out." That would extend my stay by 10 days! Plus I would be in a movie! And it was something to do that wasn't going to cost me any money! And I might even get a chance to spend time with the hot girl from Argentina. I went through the door, walked down a hallway, and walked through the only open door at the end of the hall. I walked into a movie set. There was a sort of stage taking up half of the room. The stage looked like a college dorm room, with 2 beds, 2 desks and chairs, a sports penant on the wall, etc. Opposite the stage were cameras, lighting equipment, etc. A Thai woman walked up to me.
