Seems to me on appearances that the Times Square atctak was some kind of domestic terrorist on the evidence so far available, which I admit is very patchy. I doubr very much it was the Pakistani Taliban. They ain't Al-Quaeda. But of course they'll claim credit for it. And, quite frankly, the bomb appears to be so amateurishly made, thank goodness, that its unlikely to have been made by a mob like the Taliban who are expert at making car-bombs. Besides, in terms of the news cycle I rather think Obama has his hands full with the Gulf oil spill.And the spin in that is of course, the SWAT teams on the Gulf oil rigs.
