He is a bastard for cheating, but she sounds like a bitch for ignoring him. Of course, his attitude is disturbed, but so is hers. They are both idiots. I don't like anyone in this story. She shouldn't have to do everything for him, but she shouldn't ignore him either.

Actually, correct that. His definition of attention seems like my girlfriend's ex's definition: like she said, mothering him. Damn! I just reread it and had to correct myself. Hate having to do that! Oh, well, he is obviously a slob. She won't do it, so he leaves the house disheveled and accuses her of not "resembling a wife"! Asshole! Don't think he needs training- he needs to be left and have to reflect on his life.

Actually, just one question- what does she do all day? Just call her friends and complain about her husband? I'm wondering how unreasonable his requests are. If she does nothing but complain about him all day, SOME (I said, SOME, not all, so don't get crazy on me) of her energy would be better used helping him get ready. My girlfriend's ex's job was not work at all, and she works hard (as opposed to him, just sleeping on the job at as security guard)- so, they might be different situations. Let me re-check before rendering a final verdict.

Okay, so she is doing some stuff around the house- point for her. He should not slapped her- point against him. Why haven't they done it- his neglect, her anger, or both? He seems childish and she is a bit of a tease. I can understand her up to a point, but she still does less than him, so some help would be in order. By the same token, he needs to compromise and not expect her to wait on him hand and foot. They need therapy or just to breakup and reflect on their lives. Her leaving is a good thing, but they should cancel this "training" bullshit.

Thinking about it all over again, and discussing it further with someone special, her behavior is not right. No, she shouldn't wait on him hand and foot, but she can do more than she has. Her laziness is not excusable, so she is hardly the sympathetic victim here. As for the cheating, that's wrong- unless she has also been too to spread her legs for him.
