The Girl - Part I

(Part 1 from 1)

As we pulled up and parked near the State Farm Center, the only thing on my mind was the 'Sum 41' concert I'd be attending that night. But much more than I could've expected to happen ... Did.

I, being the only 'Sum 41' fan among all of my family and friends ended up going to the concert alone. But it proved to be lucky in this case.

The line was long, and the concert wouldn't be starting for another three hours. Quickly, I took the last spot in line before anyone else could.

After about five or so minutes, the line behind me grew fast. I felt good about my decision to come early ...

About an hour passed by, and the gates still not open. The stand in line was getting tiring. Then I felt a tap on my shoulder.

"Hey, you look familiar."

The voice was very quiet, but sexy. I turned around to get a look at who had tapped me, and she was one of the most beautiful women I'd ever seen.

She was about 5'8, a little shorter than me. With brown hair, blue eyes, and an almost perfect body that featured a waist-line from heaven.

"I've seen you on TV, haven't I?"

I had no clue what she was talking about, as I'd never been on TV in my life.

"I'm afraid not."

"But I've seen you somewhere, I know it."

Well, me being the shy type of person I am ended up replying with another, "You must be mistaken. I'm sorry." And turned back around and continued my business.

"What's your name?"

I was a bit startled by this, as I hadn't expected her to continue the conversation. So I went along, and told her my name. "Ilya."

Most people find my name to be very odd, as it's a Russian name that isn't a usual name american parents call their children. So I usually get a confused look from people when I tell them. But unlike most people, she just smiled and told me her name was 'Amy'.

"Nice to meet you, Amy."

So we shook hands, and I once again turned around and continued on with my own business.

I soon began to feel fatigue in my legs, and decided to sit down on the black-top while I waited in line.

After more waiting, and more thinking, and more glancing around. I noticed from out of the corner of my eye that Amy was staring at me. Me, being unused to this, began to feel quite uncomfortable.

When she realized that I noticed, she looked away.

More time went on and she continued staring, but she seemed a little more selective this time. As I was sort of watching to see what she was doing.

Soon the gates opened, and the line began moving. But still, we had quite a long way to go.

"So how old are you?" She asked me.

"I'm nine-teen years old, I'll be twenty in a couple of months. How about yourself?"

She replied, "I'm nine-teen as well." With a little giggle following.

Amy continued the conversation and we continued our conversation for about ten minutes more. As the discussion continued on, I began to feel more and more comfortable with her.

"What city are you living in right now?" I asked her.

"I live in a city near Chicago, it's maybe a ten minute ride away."

I went on to explain that I lived very near her, as well.

The line continued moving on, and we came closer and closer to the front of the line. I'd later find out that she'd gotten seats remarkably far from the area I was sitting in.

As we entered through the doors, we said our good-byes and went our seperate ways to find and sit in our seats.

Throughout the entire concert, I couldn't help but notice how much I'd thought of Amy. She's a great-looking girl with a great personality. But I didn't expect to really have any feelings for her after talking to her for maybe only twenty minutes or so.

But I couldn't stop myself, and I spent about half the concert thinking of her. What killed me was the fact that I'd most likely never see her again.

So the concert ended, and I quickly headed for the exit in hopes of spotting her and maybe asking her a few more questions on the way out.

I quickly found my way down three flights of steps, through all the vendors and security guards, and got to the arena exit.

Soon, the place was flooded with people heading for home. I didn't know if I'd be able to spot her. And then the corner of my eye came into play again, I barely noticed her and tried to find my way through the crowd to get to her.

I pushed through so many people, and was able to keep my sight on her. But she was moving quickly, and I was going to have to find a way to get through the crowd faster if I wanted to catch up.

"Excuse me, I'm trying to get through here."

Nothing seemed to work, no one could here me. So I played running back and pushed my way through with force.

I got through many people, but I put so much into finding my way through that I lost site of her.

"Damn ..." I thought. That was my chance at a great girlfriend and I let it all down the drain.

As I drove home, I had different thoughts of her then I had during the concert. This time it was about what her breasts may have been like, and how great it would've been to maybe crawl into bed with her.

Well, it looks like that's not happening now because I was too shy to be able to go on and ask her out while I had the chance.

My driveway pulled into view, and I opened the garage and parked the car.

Walking into the house, I had one last idea to maybe have another shot at seeing Amy again. But it would involve lots of luck.

I'd buy tickets again for the next time Sum 41 rolls by for a concert in hopes that Amy will go the next show herself.

This is probably my best chance at seeing her again. So I'm going to do it.
